RSI’s Gas Saving Tip of the day: Since seventy five percent of a vehicle’s fuel consumption is weight-based. Over the past decade and even more - strides have been made in design technology that improve not only the structure, but its fuel efficiency. Take for example composite trailers which use vacuum infusion and pultrusion processes. The lighter weight material is structurally stronger and can reduce fuel consumption by as much as twenty percent on a 32.8 foot trailer.
