With the continued vigilance to protect consumers during the Covid-19 pandemic, many DMVs have been closed with very few options for individuals and businesses involved in the transportation industry able to get Motor Vehicle Records(MVR), as this has to be done mainly at physical offices in many situations.
This has stunted many hiring processes and caused considerable headaches as it can be required for the drivers employment files and due to the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act (DPPA), truckers looking to get hired need to give permission for their motor vehicle records to be released to a third party, such as an employer.
But there is some good news out now!
As of May 9th in California, 25 DMV facilities have been reopened to service the public.
These locations will be taking on appointments and transactions so things are starting to open back up!
