What to Do if You Are in an Accident

In the event that you are involved in an accident, it’s important that
you understand the steps that need to be taken.

Stop
Failure to stop at the scene of an accident in which you are involved is
a criminal offense.

Protect the Scene
If possible, move your vehicle out of traffic to park safely. Turn on your
four-way flashers and set out emergency reflectors.

Assist the Injured
If properly trained, provide first aid where needed. Do not move the
injured unless it is absolutely necessary to prevent further injury. 
 
Notify the Police
Notify the police and offer explanation of apparent injuries of fire
hazards of the scene.

Notify your Company
Inform your company about the accident, and the impact it may have on pending deliveries.

Record all the Facts
